Dear Community:
Last Friday, the final vote took place re: Redistricting.
With the help of all of your emails, I am told that over 240 were sent in - and to those who showed up for visual support, we can lay claim to a Victory!
Remember, that for the past 15 years both the Metro and the Campo have been allowed to remain totally within CD4, even though the Post Office recognizes them as being in Studio City, we have not had any influence or recognition in those areas, until now!
Now, no development can take place that does not come through CD2 first! This was a MUST for us! We can also claim part of the Campo, two additional parks and all the residences on Whipple.
We now represent 99% of all residences within Studio City as CD2.
Again, I want to thank all of you who helped and took part. There is no doubt this would not have happened without your constant support.
I also want to publicly thank Councilman Paul Krekorian and his Staff, for a great job of negotiating, down to the wire, even while we were in the Chamber.
When you start with nothing, and end up with almost everything we wanted, you cannot look at this as a compromise - this is a real Victory for us all.
