What a terrific video! Who shot and cut it?
Mike Szymanski September 14, 2010 at 03:02 AM
It was done by Eddie at Studio Now, a company AOL now owns, and Eddie has an office in that big studio city place that says Vivid Entertainment near Good Neighbor

Mike, you are the essence of cool, especially the little cowboy hat. Video is great. Gives a since of place and history. I'm going to start hanging out in Studio City so I can catch a glimpse of Cher in workout tights at her yoga class and George Clooney with wasabi smeared on his lips.

Mike - nice work! I love the historical aspect you presented in the video.

Mike, Are you related to Jerry Szamanski, the retired LAPD Commander?
Susan Goldberg June 28, 2012 at 12:36 AM
Mike, There is a billboard on Ventura, just past Whitsett heading into Coldwater Curve, that says: "It's Not The Gulf, It's The Persian Gulf." Do you know what it means, what it's supposed to be advertising, and who paid for it? -Susan
Mike Szymanski June 28, 2012 at 01:41 AM
I have actually taken a picture of that billboard and thanks to Richard Adams, the safety chair of the SCNC, been told about it, but am still trying to find anyone responsible.... any ideas?
Daniela M. Rod September 03, 2012 at 08:08 PM
Amir an Iranian-American designer paid for it
Daniela M. Rod September 03, 2012 at 08:09 PM
It's not an advertisement. It's an informative billboard in response to google map thr calls the Gulf "Arabian gulf" instead of it's actuall name -Persian Gulf-
Fact Check September 17, 2012 at 05:04 AM
No Daniela...Fact check. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-17959145 Google has given NO name to the gulf in a diplomatic move to remain indifferent. But leave it to some arrogant POS filthy rich Persian who's got nothing better to do except try to insight people with this vulgar and intrusive display. It would be just as bad if some white supremest nut job put up a billboard saying 'It's NOT America!...It's the UNITED STATES of America' Maybe he should have better spent the money on a starving child or crippled person. What an A--hole he is. I hope he is sued along with the billboard company and the city has it removed yesterday!
