(Two young men sit, sipping lattés across a metal table, a newspaper unfolded across the table top beneath their drinks and pastries.)
MAN #1: Let's go see a play!
MAN #2: Now? I'd rather stay here.
MAN #1: Come on, man, a play! Theatre, you know?
MAN #2: What about a movie?
MAN #1: All commercial crap. (YELLS) "Shovel, please!"
MAN #2: Let's pick one out together. Find the Calendar Section.
THEY SIT NEXT TO ONE ANOTHER AND POUR THROUGH THE PAPER…
MAN#1: (POINTS) What about this?
MAN #2: (LEANING LEFT TO SEE) Oh, no thanks. Horror.
MAN#1: No horror?
MAN#2: I get upset with the stabbings and killings.
MAN #1: Really. How can you handle the newspaper?
MAN #2: (INDICATES) How about this one?
MAN#1: (LOOKS) Oh, man, so commercial! It's so bland!
MAN #2: I don't know. I'd rather just watch cable.
MAN#1: You got Showtime?
MAN #2 NODS YES, HE HAS CABLE.
MAN #1: Cool!
THEY GET UP AND LEAVE.
