Incredible LEGO Video and Minecraft Models Shared Here Every Saturday

Follow the video of Donovan Sylla who encourages others to share their models. Have you built something cool with your LEGO kit or some other model kit? Post your photo with it here!

(Flip through the videos and photos of the models made and posted so far! Next week, Donovan will discuss them, but please continue to build and add more!)

Have you built something cool with your LEGO kit or some other model kit? Post your photo with it here! Donovan Sylla, 10, in the video above is a local fifth grader who loves building LEGO models—and visiting LEGOland. He's encouraging anyone out there to post their own pictures and video of their models of any kind. Add it to the BOARDS section of Patch.

Come back each week to see what others have added, and build more and add those. Donovan has taken an after-school class called LEGO Robotics by the locally-based  at and there are regular LEGO building events at the Studio City Library on Games Day once a month.

The big shop has some very fascinating Japanese snap-together model kits and is the big local shop for gamers. You don't have to be from Studio City, but as Donovan suggests, you have to be a kid. Girls allowed, too. Here are some local places that can help you with your creations. Do you know more? You can add them!

Be sure to follow  Studio City Patch on
Twitter  and "Like" us on  Facebook . Learn more about the secrets of Patch here.

Thanks for your entry Miki!

my son loves legos. i think of all the kids games in the world, these are the greatest. i think the kits are not as good as just getting a pile of them and creating. both my boys had the big block legos then moved to the smaller ones when they grew up. great toy!

I think I'm to old to enter, and besides, it takes me more than a week to build my creations. oh well.
Mike Szymanski February 21, 2012 at 02:32 AM
Hah! We were kidding about adults-only entries...anyone can send in a model photo, but thank you to everyone who has sent in videos and photos! Keep them coming and tell us about your love of LEGO!

LEGO Explostion! I love seeing what is going on here every week...I just wish I could put one of those darned things together.
Michele July 14, 2012 at 02:46 PM
Miki, trust me you will never know how to put those things together! my 10 year old is a master at it, i just fumble around and stick a few together and say "look an airplane". But they are fun, and most of the time it is just fun to all sit around and talk and build things while doing it.

if you want something fun to do one day during this hot summer, take out the legos, or blocks and scatter them all over the floor and have contests on buidling. pick a topic like everyone has to build a vehicle, or building. Then see who does the best. it is a fun family activitiy

I don't get the kids' obsession with this Minecraft but I'll send some photos of them, or get them to post screenshots. It's all so fuzzy to me
