Susan McMartin Appears Tonight on Dr. Drew's Show, Call in to Chat

After seeing her book on Studio City Patch, the local columnist was asked to go on the show this week.

, longtime columnist as Studio City Mom on Patch, is scheduled to appear on Thursday on the Dr. Drew show on HLN after reading her column.

She was originally scheduled for Tuesday night, but she got late word that she will tape the show live on Thursday. The situation with Hurricane Isaac bumped McMartin for a few days.

McMartin has offered her dramatic book dealing with alcoholism, Understanding the Fall, on Studio City Patch, and online for free—donating it to people in recovery.

Last week, Patch reprinted the book over the week, () and it got Dr. Drew's attention. He invited her on his show to discuss it.

McMartin said she is shocked, and thrilled.

She emailed:

friends and family -- after over 11 years of making my book,  by hand and donating it to people in recovery, in juvenile hall, in rehab, and just about anywhere else i can  -- it is finally going to be available for purchase online!

last week i posted my book on my weekly studio city patch column and somehow it managed to get the attention of the producers of the Dr. Drew show on HLN. they loved it and have now asked me to be a guest LIVE tuesday night (8/28) on Dr. Drew's show!

needless to say this is an absolute dream come true. finally my little book can reach a broader audience and hopefully get in the hands of all those it might be of service to!

please tune in and watch me try not to fall on my face on live television and please spread the word about my book now being available for purchase. life is truly a mystery... xo

Susan will be reading excerpts from her book and she will be taking questions live on the show as well.

I wish the media had countered Garcetti's claims with an examination of the facts and had exposedRead More his relationship with BIG development. Only the LA Weekly covered these stories--keep reading it and keep posting.

Oh, it was under announcements and not opinion so that is why I did not understand the post whichRead More appeared as facts.

Presumptuous? What about my "endorsement" is presumptuous. You don't really need toRead More respond😃, I just didn't understand the comment.

I attended N.H.H.S. in the mid-seventies. Mr. Reeves and Mr. Moelter were two of my favorites.Read More Loved Mr. McLeroy for Sociology.

great article Mary! Ms. Korney, she sometimes scared me to death! But always around christmas IRead More think of her and pronounce my letters clearly at the end of a word when I sing. I can still remember the song I had to sing for my final, "If ever I would leave you..." She taught me a lot. I agree with everything you said about Mr. Reeves. I had Mr. Pesin for Algebra, he did nothing to help further my math skills. The biggest flirt around, ick. We had a girl in school at the time that flirted her way to an A and hardly ever went to class. Go figure!! I also thought quite highly of Ms. Requiam. Glad she's still around.

I also notice Wendy Gruel has no platform, except taking money from special interest (most notablyRead More her puppet masters at the DWP) and having one of the most negative campaigns I've ever seen......no thanks, negative Wendy, fool me once.....Eric is our next Mayor....

The signs are everywhere! Please vote for Wendy, Nora. He is also running ads about Wendy GreuelRead More that he knows are outright lies.
