Two people were injured this morning when their car veered off the southbound Hollywood (101) Freeway in Studio City and wedged itself into the trees, temporarily shutting down several freeway lanes, according to authorities.
The crash near the Vineland Avenue exit on the southbound 101 Freeway was reported at 4:27 a.m., said California Highway Patrol Officer Monica Posada.
The crash shut down the Nos. 4, 5, and 6 lanes and a SigAlert was declared at 5:18 a.m. for at least 30 minutes, the CHP official said.

Firefighters rescued two people from the car and transported them to Cedars Sinai Hospital for treatment of injuries, according to emergency radio transmissions from the scene. Their conditions were not known.
There's no word yet on what caused the crash.

The accident remained under investigation by the CHP.
