ABC7: Death of Henry's Tacos Cook's Family Looks Like Murder

One of the two victims of a fire inside a detached garage in South Los Angeles had duct tape on the back of their necks, according to a report broadcast tonight.

The Examiner has identified the victims as the wife and son of longtime Henry's Tacos cook, Oscar Reyes.

ABC7 did not identify which victim the duct tape was found on, but identified the adult as Jovana Yauli Tuto, 27. A representative of the coroner's office said she could not confirm the identification of Tuto.

The deaths are being investigated as possible homicides, a coroner's investigator said.

Tuto and the second of her two sons, earlier identified as Dillan Reyes, aged 18 months to 2 years old, by Lt. David Smith of the coroner's office were found inside the converted garage in the 100 block of East 50th Street, around 11:40 a.m. Wednesday.

Firefighters pulled the boy from the home after the fire, which took less than 10 minutes to extinguish, and took him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His mother was also found inside the home, which had no smoke detectors, according to Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

It was unclear if the converted garage was a legal, permitted residence.

The cause of the blaze was under investigation.
