A trial date is scheduled to be set on Sept. 5 for Michael Green, who is accused of shooting his ex-girlfriend in the head during an argument at a Studio City hotel.
The trial date was set on Wednesday in Dept. G, Van Nuys Courthouse, 14400 Erwin Street Mall.

Green fled with the couple's two children, ages 21 months and six months, after the shooting, according to Los Angeles police. He surrendered nearly 12 hours later at a Canoga Park home.
