Firefighters Douse Flames at Detached Garage in Valley Village

It took 48 firefighters 22 minutes to put out the fire.

Firefighters knocked down a non-injury fire this morning in Valley Village that burned a multi-bay detached garage.

The blaze inside the garages at 5628 Bellingham Ave. was reported at 11:47 p.m., Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

The department dispatched 48 firefighters to the scene and extinguished the flames in about 22 minutes, Humphrey said. No injuries were reported.
