Man Falls 30 Feet Hiking Fryman Canyon Park

Firefighters transport victim via helicopter from Studio City to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Los Angeles firefighters and paramedics transported a man to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Thursday morning after he reportedly fell and suffered an ankle injury in Fryman Canyon Park in Studio City.

The first call of an injured hiker in the 8400 block of Mulholland Drive went out at 7:44 a.m., according to LAFD spokesman Brian Humphrey.

The man, possibly in his early to mid 20s, reportedly fell 30 feet down an embankment while hiking the 122-acre urban forest.

At 9:22 a.m., Humphrey confirmed a helicopter arrived safely at the hospital and the man's ankle injury is being checked. The man's injuries do not appear life threatening, Humphrey added.
