Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on Ventura Blvd.

The accident occurs at 3:09 a.m. near Radford Avenue, police say.

A motorcyclist was killed Friday when he crashed into a median and hit a light pole at a Studio City intersection, police said.

The accident on Ventura Boulevard at Radford Avenue occurred at 3:09 a.m., said Sgt. Donald Kelly of the Los Angeles Police Department's Valley Traffic Division.

The 28-year-old motorcyclist was westbound on Ventura Boulevard when he crashed into the median at Radford Avenue and then hit the light pole, Kelly said.

"The motorcycle ended up at a gas station across the street," he said, adding he was pronounced dead at the scene.

"We don't know if speed is involved. No other vehicle was involved. We don't have witnesses. The investigators at the scene will learn more," he said early this morning.
