Carpenter Avenue leading up to the school was partially blocked during the day on Friday, but by the time school lets out, all construction will be cleared out of the area.
The nearly 1,000 children go to Carpenter Community Charter School found it a little harder to get in and out of school the last two days because of construction in the area, and road blocks.
The traffic was not a major problem in the area, according to Valley Traffic police.
The northbound lane may still be closed and parents are advised that their best bet is to access Carpenter Avenue from Ventura Boulevard if need be.
City Councilman Paul Krekorian's office has asked that uniformed traffic officers be on hand Friday to help with the flow of traffic.
