Cunningham said:
Today, at the park, I told this guy to leave and that I was calling the police. He left, but then forty minutes later came back gesturing for me to come over and talk to him. I ignored him. He then proceeded to walk up to my girls and I as I was putting on their shoes to leave. When he got within ten feet, I jumped up and took two steps toward shouting at him to leave. But when I jumped up, I noticed he reached for his back pocket. I quickly stepped back, and yelled to another Dad to call the police, saying "he's armed, he's a pervert call the police." The other Dad did. The pervert responded by saying, "That's right I am armed." And he did not back away or leave. My girls and I got out of there quickly. I called the police when I got home. The cops did come to the park, an hour later, but he had left.
It was a scary incident. My wife thinks I shouldn't have told him to leave in the first place, and that I angered him. She's probably right. But this guy keeps coming back to our park and I'm sick of it. I'm sorry to tell such a story-- I usually tell better ones! But it makes me feel good to get this picture out to you guys, and know that I'm increasing the number of eyes on this pervert. I should have sent this email last year when the aforementioned neighbor told me the story. (He had gotten his license plate, and thank goodness it was a memorable one, because that's how I knew who this guy was.) Alas, here I am telling you all now. Let's make this neighborhood the last place on earth this guy wants to stop in.
