Police Seek Help in Finding Window-Smashing Vandals Along Ventura Blvd.

From Woodland Hills to Studio City, business windows are being smashed.

For two months, vandals have smashed windows in businesses along Ventura Boulevard with a sling shot or BB gun—and police are asking for your help.

The Los Angeles Police Department's West Valley police said that seven businesses reported broken windows over the past weekend.

The vandalism has been a persistent problem since May all along the heavily-traveled Ventura Boulevard shopping corridor.

Police said no injuries were reported due to the vandalism. According to a report in the Daily News of Los Angeles, there were thoughts among businesses to offer a reward to catch the vandals.

"We have been hit twice in four weeks," Jeff Swaner, owner of Epic Salon in Encino, said in a statement sent to the Daily News. "Our insurance agent is telling us if we submit another broken window claim, we will be uninsurable."
