Sheriff's Department Arrests Suspected Luxury Car Theft

A missing Porsche was traced to the suspect's Studio City residence.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department on Wednesday arrested a man they believe stole a luxury sports car after tracing him to a Studio City residence.

Law enforcement officials had been attempting to locate the suspect, Andrew Foley Parker, 36, since December 2011, when he allegedly embezzled a 2010 Porsche Panamera from MSF Auto Leasing in Los Angeles, according to a statement issued by the Sheriff's Department Saturday.

While serving a search warrant for a residence in the 3200 block of Dos Palos Drive, to where Parker had been traced, detectives discovered a credit card manufacturing and identity theft operation. Detective recovered numerous credit card manufacturing machines and more than 6,000 blank credit cards with counterfeit American Express, Visa, Discover and MasterCard logos. There were also counterfeit driver licenses and identification cards, and the Porsche was found in the garage, the statement said.

Parker was arrested at the residence.

The Sheriff's Department requests anyone with information about the incident to contact the Regional Autotheft Prevention task force at 626-572-5610.
