Sprinkler System at Studio City Apartment Keeps Fire in Check

A kitchen fire in a Studio City apartment was held in check by a sprinkler system today.

The fire in a third-floor unit at Archview Luxury Apartments, 4150 Arch Drive, was reported at 3 p.m. and put out 16 minutes later, Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

Firefighters were helping minimize water damage in the building, he said.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
