Can a fourth grader remember the events of Sept. 11, 2001. Well no, most of them are 9 years old, and the event was a decade ago this weekend.
But that doesn't stop all of them from having some kind of story.
Studio City resident who goes to , knows what happened that day because it is part of his family's history. His grandparents live two blocks away from where the World Trade Center stood. (His grandfather is character actor Mark Margolis.)
Aidan knew about the attacks from the time he was "little." His best friend Donovan Sylla said his mom had him inside her and decided to move across the country because of the attacks from Atlanta to California to be closer to family.
The plaque was installed by local as a memorial to the firefighters risking their lives at the scene. It was installed in 2005 on the anniversary of the attacks by the , a local civic group. There is no other commemoration to 9-11 in this part of the San Fernando Valley, so that is why the community put the plaque on this lone rock in a part of Ventura Boulevard.The plaque, erected by the local firemen covering Studio City in 2005, is in the El Paseo De Cahuenga Park in the Cahuenga Pass.
The events of Sept. 11, 2001 are etched into the American psyche forever. As we approach the 10 year anniversary of that infamous day, Patch is looking to share your stories about how the terror attacks and the aftermath affected you personally.

Connie Elliott, of the Studio City Residents Association, had a close call, she said:
"I used to be a flight attendant for United Airlines so was greatly affected by that day 10 years ago. In fact my husband and I missed being on one of the flights that went into the World Trade Center by what was essentially a coin toss. We flew from Boston to LA on Sept. 10, 2001.We had been asked to stay over another day by one of his relatives in Boston, and it was our Boston to LA flight that was hijacked."What's your story?
