The most common crime reported in November was 18 motor vehicle burglaries.

Attached to this post is the latest map, showing the highest concentration of incidents occurred in the western portion of Studio City near Bloomfield Street and Valleyheart Drive, as well as near Alcove and Fairway avenues and the general eastern section of Ventura Boulevard.

Also telling is an unusual number of motor vehicle burglaries, residential/business burglaries and a grand theft auto concentrated just on Arch Drive off the eastern Studio City section of Ventura Boulevard.

A variety of crimes continue to be reported in the general vicinity and business areas of the Ventura and Laurel Canyon intersection.

An accurate crime map of the latest Studio City incidents is also compiled on the Los Angeles Times website.

Though this is good news, there are still too many burglaries in Studio City and surrounding areas. But I am more disturbed by the kidnapping of Jack, the teacup maltese, from his mommy's apartment. Please, I am begging the police to step up their investigation into this case. This was not a burglary; it was a kidnapping. And the $5,000 reward still stands.

I know of two attempted break-ins in my 3 block radius that the police did not fill out a burglary attempt because the break-ins were unsuccessful. (One was two cars in someones driveway, one was visible signs of a crowbar being used to open windows) Police did not want to fill out crime report. When contacted, I was told that they would increase the police visibility, but I have seen no police cars in neighborhood.
