A fire in a two-story house in Studio City sent one person to a hospital for treatment, authorities said Thursday.

Los Angeles city firefighters responded to the blaze in the 12900 block of Landale Street, reported at 1:52 p.m. and declared it knocked down at 2:11 p.m., according to department spokesman Brian Humphrey.

A total of 40 firefighters responded to the blaze.

It was not clear if the hospitalized person was a firefighter or a worker who was tending to a heater in a crawlspace beneath the home, Humphrey said.
