Studio City Woman Offers $5,000 Reward for Return of Maltese Dog

The pet was stolen along with the woman's laptop and important documents as well as family photos.

A Studio City woman is offering a $5,000 reward for the return of a Maltese dog stolen in a break-in at her apartment.

Karen Chamberlain told NBC4 her pet was taken Monday along with a laptop and a strong box full of important documents and family photos.

Chamberlain said whoever did it got into her apartment by breaking her door lock and bending the door frame.

Chamberlain—who refers to the dog, named Jack, as her ''child''—has been posting fliers in her neighborhood in the hope of finding him.

An Internet appeal brought a response from a woman in Maryland who wrote to her saying she was combing Craigslist in search of the dog.
