Update: Motorcyclist Injured on 405 Freeway Near the 101
Paramedics rush the biker to hospital after the accident in Sherman Oaks.

A motorcyclist was injured during a fiery, single-crash Sunday on the San Diego (405) Freeway in Sherman Oaks, a fire official said.
The condition of the motorcyclist was not immediately known, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles City Fire Department. Paramedics rushed him to an
area hospital.

Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched to the northbound freeway at the Ventura (101) Freeway at 12:18 p.m., Humphrey said.
Initial reports were that the burning motorcycle was in northbound lanes, and the injured motorcyclist was in southbound lanes.
