Candidate Filing Begins for Neighborhood Council Elections

Elections for the Studio City Neighborhood Council is March 20.

There are 95 Neighborhood Councils throughout the City of Los Angeles striving to provide its communities with a voice in city government, and Studio City's is no different.

Candidate filing for the Studio City Neighborhood Council elections began on Jan. 4 and runs through Feb. 3. Election day is Thursday, March 20. Civic participation is needed in Studio City, according its current elected officials.

Issues addressed by neighborhood councils include land use, education, transportation, public safety, budget planning, cultural enrichment, neighborhood beautification and the allocation of city services, among many others.

If you live, work, own property, do business, or are a stakeholder in Studio City, you are eligible to serve on the Studio City Neighborhood Council.

  1. Go to http://empowerla.org/scnc/studio-city-nc-2014-election/
  2. Click on File Online tab in the right-hand column
  3. Fill out the online form and click Submit.
