Garcetti Launches New Campaign Headquarters in Studio City

Hundreds of supporters will join Eric Garcetti to pack the new Garcetti for Mayor Campaign Headquarters on Saturday, December 1 at 2:30 PM to celebrate its grand opening. Grassroots volunteers returning from precinct walking will join them. The Headquarters, located in Studio City, will house the campaign staff and serve as the central hub for the Garcetti campaign's robust grassroots door-to-door and phone-banking program.

"As someone who grew up in the Valley, this is a homecoming for me," Garcetti said.  "Studio City is convenient for our many Valley volunteers and is centrally located for our supporters citywide. This office will help us compete for every Valley vote with our agenda for job creation and innovative solutions to make city hall more responsive and efficient. I look forward to seeing a lot of Valley voters at our grand opening celebration on December 1 at 2:30 pm."

Grassroots enthusiasm for Garcetti's campaign propelled him to be first candidate to gather the signatures needed to qualify for the ballot. His volunteers not only gathered signatures faster than any other candidate, while the competition paid a fee to allow them to submit only 500 signatures, Garcetti volunteers gathered more than 1,000. The Garcetti campaign leads in fundraising, the total number of individual donors, and has the greatest number of social networking followers.
