Environmentalist . plans to host the first Green City Fair at this Saturday with demonstrations from all across the country.
Longtime Studio City resident Begley plans to show how people can make simple changes to their homes and to their lives to adopt a sustainable future.
“I hope you will all come out to this first time event and see what there is to learn,” said Begley. “Join me and at the first Green City Fair in Coldwater Canyon Park this Saturday!”
The Econpalooza Green Events Network is promoting the event with Begley and more than 60 vendors for music, free give-aways, hiking tours, lectures and workshops.
The event on Saturday runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and some of the workshops require pre-registration.
The TreePeople headquarters and auditorium are located in Coldwater Canyon Park and their goal is to "provide you with the resources to make healthy, sustainable changes."
The workshops are free throughout the day, and include Whole Foods treats, upcycling crafts with the reDiscover Center, nature-inspired face painting and hikes with TreePeople's famous Dirt Doctor.
