Of the Park Motel . . .

Dear Lisa,

I have lived in Studio City for eight years and for all that time the on Ventura Boulevard near Coldwater has been closed...never any cars in the lot... Is there a story behind that property?  It seems to be pretty well maintained just empty...just curious.

Thanks,  Michael Hirshenson

Michael - thank you for your question.  I have attempted to contact the owner of the Park Motel without success.  I will continue to try and get some information about it and let you know what I find out.

Of the Marijuana Dispensaries . . .

Many of you have asked about the number of marijuana dispensaries in Studio City so I have waited as long as I can to be able to give you the most up-to-date information available.  Currently, I know of nine dispensaries on Ventura Boulevard.  I have not found any other dispensaries in Studio City to date. The dispensary ordinance passed last year is on hold because of numerous lawsuits.

According to the most recent list from the City Clerk’s office, the following locations are in the process of obtaining a “MEDICAL MARIJUANA NOTICE OF INTENTION TO REGISTER FILINGS:”

* , Inc.        11705 Ventura Blvd., Studio City, CA 91604
*            12012 1/2 Ventura Blvd., Studio City, CA 91604
*                  10964 Ventura Blvd., Studio City, CA 91604
*               13235 Ventura Blvd., Studio City, CA 91604
*             12457 Ventura Blvd., Suite 208, Studio City, CA 91604

Of a Good, Lunch . . .

Where can you get the most affordable lunch in Studio City?

This is a very difficult question to answer but I think is good and affordable.

Of the RFA Issue . . .

What is going on with the RFA issue, has that just disappeared from the consciousness of Paul Krekorian?—J. Donnelly

The RFA (Residential Floor Area) is on the agenda of the
August 17,  CBS Studio Center, 4024 Radford Ave. Building 8, MPR 3, 7 p.m.  If you are able to attend you will hear a presentation by Councilmember Krekorian’s Planning Director, Karo Torossian.

Presumptuous? What about my "endorsement" is presumptuous. You don't really need toRead More respond😃, I just didn't understand the comment.

I attended N.H.H.S. in the mid-seventies. Mr. Reeves and Mr. Moelter were two of my favorites.Read More Loved Mr. McLeroy for Sociology.

great article Mary! Ms. Korney, she sometimes scared me to death! But always around christmas IRead More think of her and pronounce my letters clearly at the end of a word when I sing. I can still remember the song I had to sing for my final, "If ever I would leave you..." She taught me a lot. I agree with everything you said about Mr. Reeves. I had Mr. Pesin for Algebra, he did nothing to help further my math skills. The biggest flirt around, ick. We had a girl in school at the time that flirted her way to an A and hardly ever went to class. Go figure!! I also thought quite highly of Ms. Requiam. Glad she's still around.
