Paul Krekorian Throws Support to Mike Feuer for City Attorney

(A press release from Mike Feuer's campaign.)

On Sunday, L.A. City Councilman Paul Krekorian endorsed Mike Feuer’s campaign for L.A. City Attorney.

Just yesterday a new USC Price/Los Angeles Times poll showed Feuer with a commanding 18-point edge over incumbent Carmen Trutanich in the race for L.A. City Attorney. Feuer also picked up an endorsement yesterday from L.A. City Councilman Ed Reyes.

Councilman Krekorian represents Los Angeles’ 2nd Council district, which includes the communities of: North Hollywood, Studio City, Sun Valley, Valley Village Van Nuys and Valley Glen.

“I've known Mike Feuer personally for two decades.  I know his character and I know his abilities, and I have no doubt that he is exactly the person Los Angeles needs as our next City Attorney.

His extraordinary experience as a lawyer and lawmaker makes him uniquely qualified to serve our city and lead the City Attorney's office.  I'm confident Mike will fight for the goals that matter most to residents, like keeping our neighborhoods safe, reducing gun violence and preventing lawsuits that cost taxpayers money that should go to providing key city services.  I am proud to endorse him.”

“I really appreciate Councilman Krekorian’s endorsement,” said Feuer. “Paul is widely respected in his San Fernando Valley district and beyond for his focus on constituent services and skillful leadership of the Council's Budget and Finance Committee.  Councilman Krekorian and I have worked together on a wide range of issues, from public safety to environmental protection.  I look forward to continuing our partnership to keep L.A.’s neighborhoods safe.” Significantly, Feuer has built up one of the most wide-ranging and broadest coalitions of supporters among any of the citywide candidates. His endorsements include: the Los Angeles Times, Daily News, Daily Breeze, Downtown News, La Opinión, and Metropolitan News-Enterprise newspapers; the L.A. County Democratic Party; current and former Republican elected leaders; business groups like the California Small Business Association and Valley Industry and Commerce Association (VICA) PAC; the L.A. County Federation of Labor; public safety leaders like L.A. County District Attorney Jackie Lacey and former Police Chief Bill Bratton; every major environmental group in L.A.; women’s groups; LGBT groups; leaders of L.A.’s legal community; both of California's U.S. Senators, Boxer and Feinstein; as well as over 1,100 grassroots citizens and neighborhood leaders.
