Volunteers Needed for Neighborhood Council Elections

NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL ELECTION VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

WHAT:

2012 is an election year at several levels of government, including your Studio City Neighborhood Council Board. And the s needs you, our community, to volunteer to help manage its election under the supervision of DONE (Department of Neighborhood Empowerment www.EmpowerLA.org ).

WHY:

To do that we need the help of capable Studio City Stakeholders who appreciate the importance of democratic representation for our community before the City Council and other City agencies.

HOW: Volunteer Requirements are:

1) You must be a Studio City stakeholder, meaning you must live, work, own property in or have some ongoing relationship with the quality of life in Studio City.

2) You must be at least 18 years of age. 3) You must NOT be a candidate for the Studio City Neighborhood Council Board. 4) You should be available for two hours of preparation and orientation prior to the election in September. 5) You must be able to work at the polling station for as much as eight hours on Election Day, Thursday

September 20, 2012.

Studio City stakeholders who have volunteered for past elections have found it a rewarding experience and a meaningful way to support to their community. Please join them this September!
