Where Did the $250,000 of Non-General Fund Money Go for Krekorian's District?

In 2011, the office of Councilmember Paul Krekorian allocated $250,000 of non-General Fund dollars for a series of projects throughout the east and northeast Valley. From July 2011 to April 2012, nearly half of those funds have been spent. We created this graph to show exactly what what city crews did.

1,040 cubic yards of waste collected from more than 400 locations

542 potholes and other road work and street repairs. (Editor's Note: See attached video of Krekrorian hiimself helping a city crew lay some slurry seal.)

The Budget & Finance Committee of the Los Angeles City Council, led by Councilmember Paul Krekorian, will continue its hearings Friday May 4, regarding the Mayor’s 2012-13 proposed budget.

Starting at 1 p.m. (or after the conclusion of the City Council meeting), the committee will hear from: 

  • The CAO regarding technical amendments to the proposed budget as well as other General City Purpose items;
  • The Coalition of L.A. City Unions.
