SHERMAN OAKS, CA—The Women’s Political Committee (WPC) announced its endorsement of Laurette Healey. WPC is dedicated to supporting gender balance in the halls of Government.
“I am deeply honored to receive the endorsement of the WPC, and admire its steadfast commitment to support qualified women seeking elected office,” said Healey.
“Women offer essential perspectives on childcare, public safety, health care, transportation, elder care, and yet, less than 10% of our State Legislature are women. I will fight against the callous political jockeying that threatens the rights of women, children, and seniors. I have had my fill of bullies in Government and my position is clear – zero tolerance.”
The Women’s Political Committee is the latest group to join a broad and diverse coalition of supporters united behind Healey’s campaign which include: Assembly member Joan Buchanan, former California State Senator Sheila Kuehl, Assembly member Cathleen Galgiani, the California Chapter of the National Women’s Political Caucus (NWPC), and Patricia Bellasalma, President, California Chapter of NOW.
