Campbell Hall Gallery to Debut First Art Exhibit to the Public

Paintings by artist Mary Woronov titled 'Imaginary Reality' will be on display.

Campbell Hall announces the opening of the Campbell Hall Gallery in the newly completed Arts & Education Center, with an exhibit featuring expressionistic paintings by artist Mary Woronov titled, “Imaginary Reality.”

Simultaneously, the short film titled, Cyber, by Campbell Hall student Ethan Miller (’14), will be featured in the Campbell Hall Screening Room.

Both exhibits will run October 4 – November 16 and are open to the public.
Gallery hours are Monday - Friday, 10 am - 4 pm.

Mary Woronov, painter, author and actor joined Andy Warhol’s Factory where she acted in several movies including his well known, Chelsea Girls.

In the '70s she moved to Los Angeles and started collaborating with contemporary artists including Bruce Yonemoto and Mike Kelley. With this move west her paintings became even more vibrant and expressive, rivaling the conceptualism employed by many of her peers. She has written five books on “Imaginary Fiction” and has two more being published: Confessions of a Cult Queen and Mother. Currently a feature length documentary film is being made of her by Minx Films.

Opening Reception is Thursday, Oct. 4, 4:30-7:30 pm. The artist is expected to speak at 5:30 p.m. Campbell Hall is at 4533 Laurel Canyon Blvd.
