NOTE:  The Carpenter Track Meet will NOT take place tomorrow and has been moved to next Friday, June 15.  If you can help set-up or help during the event after school, please contact Amber Schaeffer at amberschaeffer@hotmail.com.

CARPENTER WEEKEND AT BOOKSTAR INCLUDES A SPECIAL LEGO EVENT- RESERVATIONS REQUIRED!

Bookstar, our neighborhood Barnes & Noble Bookseller, is hosting Carpenter Weekend At Bookstar from June 15th - 17th. A portion of sales will be donated back to the school to fund our full time librarian. There will be more information provided next week but we promise you will want to make plans to stop by the store next weekend. As part of the Carpenter weekend, Bookstar is hosting several special activities on Saturday, June 16th including:

10:30am  Storytime with Lindy (for ages 3-6)

1pm  Harry Potter LEGO Building Activity-  (for ages 4-9)

3pm  Actor & Author Paul Michael Glaser reads from and autographs his new teen book Chrystallia and the Sources of Light

You must have reservations to participate in the LEGO activity. Each child will receive a Harry Potter mini Lego kit with 34 pieces. Kids will make their own creations using the kit and then write a story about what they've built. At the end of the activity, kids will be able to take the kit home with them. To reserve a spot, send an email to carpenterpta@gmail.com and put LEGO in the subject line. Please provide the number of kids and each child's age. Space is limited so RSVP ASAP. We will be taking reservations until Monday, June 11th or until we fill up. ORCHESTRA CONCERT MONDAY, JUNE 11th 8:45AM

Our Carpenter Community Charter School Orchestra will present its end-of-the year concert on Monday, June 11, 2012 at 8:45AM in the Carpenter Auditorium.  All parents and guests are welcome to attend and enjoy the accomplishments of our Cougar musicians.

GET YOUR PTA RECEIPTS IN BY MONDAY, 6/11

The PTA has to close the books on the 2011-2012 school year. If you have any receipts or requests for reimbursements, please bring them to the school office by Monday, June 11th.Any receipts received after that date will not be reimbursed until the 2012-2013 school year. POSITIVE BEHAVIOR MEETING ON WEDNESDAY, 6/13

I celebrated my husbands birthday here with a bunch of friends. The 6 of us sat around the wheelRead More learning to spin pottery. It was so much fun! And we got to all try something new together. The teacher is very patient and helpful. It was a truly delightful experience. I highly recommend it.
