Word! A Writing Skills Intensive for Ages 9-12

Writing Adventures presents a special weeklong Writing Skills Intensive specifically for ages 9-12. Take advantage of this unique opportunity for your child to catch up or get ahead on their writing abilities before the new school year! We will cover the 6 Traits of Writing (Ideas, Organization, Word Choice, Voice, Sentence Fluency, Conventions) along with the full Writing Process as we build on the fundamentals, absorb model literature, learn essential techniques, and collaborate in peer critique groups to develop stellar writing skills – from a sentence to a paragraph and beyond! Participants will present their best work in a creative way on the final day. Writing topics and reflection exercises are student-generated and teacher facilitated.
