ShowBoat Youtheatre Reaches for the Stars with 'Fame' on May 6

'Fame' will be the predecessor to the Showboat's summer camp.

The students 7 to 17 have been working all semester and are ready to present the show "Fame."

"They have been working very hard and are proud of their work," said director Ann Monahan.

The show is scheduled for May 6 at 2 p.m. to be presented at 12020 Burbank Blvd.

Monahan said, "Children of all ages from 7 to 70 and beyond will enjoy the joy that is evident in all their production numbers."

Get tickets at the door, or reserve in advance at 818 222-7239.

Also, check out the website at Showboatyoutheater.com.

And this summer, the Showboat Youtheatre Summer camps will be the subject of a documentary film centered on the production of a musical utilizing only young performers Ages 7 to 17.

Yes, that’s right, a camera crew will be tiptoeing around our workshops this summer.

Many of the parents will be asked to do an on-camera interview. This is a wonderful opportunity for all of the terrific “Showboaters.”

Dear tbs, Deon Coles black box is the worst tv show ever. Though it is hosted by a black man, it'sRead More a show based on pointing fun and rude Racist jokes directed toward black people. If there was a white host it would be considered racist but because a black man was appointed to be host , you might have figured we wouldn't be offended but we are and I can't speak for all but I feel like resist jokes aren't ok regardless of who is telling them and I would like tbs to take down this show or atleast change the points in the show ! -signed, Kalil Stimpson
