It's the last week of school for the public schools in the area, and Los Angeles Unified School Board member Tamar Galatzan is scheduled to attend the Walter Reed Middle School Culmination on Thursday.
Tuesday, Thursday and Friday are shorter than usual days. Practice for the 8th-grade graduation is going to be held on Monday and Wednesday.
On Wednesday, at Schall Park, the graduating students will have a Reed Rock Stars Day from 11:30 a.m. to 2:52 p.m. for an afternoon of fun and celebration.
The Middle School Graduation ceremony for the 8th grade starts on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. It is a reverse minimum day, so school doesn't start for the rest of the school until 10 a.m. and ends at 2:52.
Friday, on the last day of school, it's also a short day, with classes ending at 12:27 p.m. Lunch will still be served.
