Laurence Lighting Strike Double Gold

Sixth-grade girls soccer team and boys basketball team each win championship in the San Fernando Valley Private School League.

Sixth-grade athletes at Laurence School in Valley Glen had an all-around championship afternoon Wednesday, Feb. 27.

The girls undefeated soccer team took home the first place trophy in the San Fernando Valley Private School League (SVPSL).  The Laurence Lighting beat the Campbell Hall Vikings, 6 to 2 in the finals.

While the girls were kicking their way to victory on the soccer field, yards away inside Laurence’s gym, the undefeated boys basketball team edged out the John Thomas Dye Greyhounds, 21 to 17 for first place.

I can still remember the song I had to sing for my final, "If ever I would leave you..." She taught me a lot. I agree with everything you said about Mr. Reeves. I had Mr. Pesin for Algebra, he did nothing to help further my math skills. The biggest flirt around, ick. We had a girl in school at the time that flirted her way to an A and hardly ever went to class. Go figure!! I also thought quite highly of Ms. Requiam. Glad she's still around.
