Reed Still Collecting Mounds of Rummage Despite Rain

They will be loading trucks today until 4 p.m.

At 9 Sunday morning, PTSA President Carol Kiernan Convey and her team of devoted parents were already on site for an hour collecting a virtual mountain of clothes, electronics, toys and more at the grounds. The drizzle was just beginning—and they were ready for more rain to come.

"We will be out here until 3 and then we will be loading trucks for another hour," said Convey while people were spreading out tarps to keep the stuff from getting wet. "We can use volunteers and anything that people want to donate."

This (collected at the Schall park on the Colfax Avenue and Troost gates) is to help raise money for the middle school. They are not only taking clothing, sports equipment, books, furniture, tools, kitchware and things like that, but also such as computer equipment, TVs, office equipment and wires.
