Teachers Do it Gangnam Style [VIDEO]

Walter Reed Middle School teachers try to figure out how to out-do last year's ballet.

The challenge was on for the teachers to do something in the Walter Reed Middle School Talent Show that surpassed last year's goofy ballet number.

Well, History teacher Don Helverson recreated the South Korean rapper Psy and the teachers did it "Gangnam Style" and it almost created a riot in the school auditorium over the weekend.

See the video above, and the real one that they're spoofing.

The teachers include math teacher Michele Szymanski (sister to Patch editor, Mike), history teacher Patti Eskander, English humanities teacher Tiffany Federico, science humanities teacher Carmelita Enriquez and math teacher Kate Mansfield.

As you can tell, they outdid themselves.

See pictures of the talent show here.

Funny, funny, funny!!!! I never even heard of this phenomenon, the teachers are certainly in the know, and are very creative to boot. What a team of talent!!!! Hysterical clip!

It was a great way to spend the evening. There are so many talented students at Reed. What I loved the most was the loud applause for each act. Way to support your friends on stage! Everyone dancing on the stage at the end was a fun way to end the festivities.

What fun! We are so lucky to have the coolest teachers! The kids are learning first hand how to work, play and create a positive community together.

Most students, and parents I spoke with today just said thank you for doing something fun at school. it hink that is what society needs right now, some fun. We are a public school that gets funding cut every minute, yet we can put on a show like no one else. Our music department will put on Guys and Dolls this year with the help of wonderful parents who fund raise and teachers who put in their own time. Why because we like doing it. lets hear some Kudos to those people!!
