“If At First You Don’t Succeed…”

"…try try again." This maxim rings true in singledom as well.

Do you throw in the towel after a discouraging rendezvous? Have you sworn off lasting liaisons after several failed attempts at establishing a gratifying and rewarding union? Do you go global when a few single’s soirees don’t result in satisfactory bonding?

A majority of bachelors/bachelorettes give up following a devastating divorce; dreadful date; disheartening encounter; or attending a mixer without hooking up, a party without alluring a suitable partner.

Success isn’t measured by the amount of times you score or hit the jackpot, but by how often you rise to the occasion following a major fall or letdown.

You deserve to have a fulfilling relationship with a committed mate who respects, admires, adores, and appreciates you, albeit you’ve previously been unlucky in love.

It only takes a minute to attract your ideal match, yet an affectionate and tender involvement won’t come knocking at your door. You’ve got to pull yourself up by your bootstraps to obtain the plentiful gifts the universe has in store.

What exactly does it take to get back in the saddle again?

Clear away the disillusionment and discontent of the past. Welcome a new beginning and perspective on romance. Let the beauty and splendor of the changing season envelop you with an attitude of optimism and enthusiasm.

Dig up the weeds of disappointment and apprehension. Make way for a clean, fresh start. Discard the negative stance that prevents optimum growth and blossoming.

Bring brilliance and color into your realm and disposition by brightening and lightening up your frame of mind. Put on a cheerful face. Reflect joyful thoughts. Radiate confidence and calmness.

Rid your psyche of old, destructive, unhealthy messages such as “I’m not good enough funny enough, smart enough, rich enough, thin enough, successful enough, pretty/handsome enough.”

Life’s too short to wait for the “when I’m,” or “until I’m,” or “if only,” and other self defeating excuses.

Leave behind negative, gloomy, heavy mental and emotional baggage that weighs you down.  If you desire, it can still be retrieved when you return to your refuge.

No matter whom you stumble upon, seek the silver lining. Every man/woman has something positive and constructive to tender. Discover the glory they possess.

Look at the bigger picture at gatherings, i.e. making a difference in the universe by helping a comrade who appears anxious and intimidated. Consider offering a shy, scared lady/gentleman support or a strong shoulder to lean on.

Treat each engagement as a dress rehearsal for the real thing. Practice makes perfect.

To the extent you’re consumed by cyberspace and electronic devices, it’s highly likely relating in the flesh is increasingly unfamiliar territory.

Embrace any option for communicating in person since advanced technology and the digital age have made these treasured moments a rarity, rather than the norm.

Take into account the above notions and join hundreds of eligible souls and ghouls Face to Face for the Best Halloween Bash in the City, Saturday October 26th from 8p-2am at Wendell Baker’s spectacular spread and astonishing Haunted House, 19523 Strathern St., Reseda, CA 91335.

Even if you haven’t gone to any other events this entire year, you owe it to yourself to attend this extraordinary extravaganza.

Be prepared to dance the night away with your choice of the infamous smokin’ hot DJ Dave Waterbury or a rockin’ live band; indulge in scrumptious fare from 8-10pm plus continual munchies; quench your thirst at the open Polynesian Voodoo bar; traverse the mind blowin’ Haunted House; observe a fire show; converse, connect, and commune with loads of classy, chic, cool cohorts.

Heaters are provided to ward off the chill. Hopefully you won’t need them as a cuddly sweetie might keep you toasty warm, wrapping his/her arms around you.

This is a full costume party with approximately 3,500 sq. ft. of studio quality haunted house and effects to tantalize your every move, exciting your totality of senses. From one room to another you’ll be challenged to experience the unexpected. Be cautious yet curious…hold on tight to the guy/gal of your dreams as your heart races and fear enthralls you.

For those too frightened to enter the haunted area, you can always veer on a simpler path into the Polynesian Village. But beware as you approach the vicinity, cave dwellers are constantly on guard. You never know what they will do…??
