SINGLE IN STUDIO CITY: A SPIRITUAL SPRING CLEANING

Now that the days are longer, there's plenty of time to start your spring cleaning. I don't mean the kind whereby you discard dated clothes, accessories, furniture, tchotchkes.

I’m talking about the inner version whereby you let go of old beliefs and behaviors that no longer serve you. What are you holding onto that keeps you from the sunlight of your soul; from success, fulfillment, abundance, prosperity; from being the best, using your talents, skills, gifts, and creativity to the utmost?

It’s just as easy to acquire clutter of the chi, i.e. internal confusion, chaos, cynicism, criticism, disillusionment, distrust, disorder, disapproval, as it is to attain an untidy home.

To begin the process you must access your higher consciousness with the purpose of discovery. You may know intellectually what is the monkey on your back, but chances are you’re emotionally and psychologically in denial about what is really preventing your excellence from emerging.

Countless tools are available to dig deep into the recesses of your mind, including meditation, music, dance, journaling, drawing, painting, therapy, reading, lectures, workshops, discussion groups, spiritual guides, i.e. mentors, pastors, ministers, rabbis, etc.  There is no right or wrong way, only no way at all, that will hinder your progress.

Don’t delay.  Start today. Clean out the cobwebs, mold, dust, rust, dirt that lies in your psyche, clogging your spiritual path to freedom. Plant the seeds, nourish your garden, and watch your character, courage, and chutzpah grow and blossom.

There are numerous types of bondage. Maybe you haven’t been “12 Years a Slave;” perhaps it’s been merely five months or five years; or conceivably a lifetime encumbered by repression, depression, pain, suffering, affliction, hardship, misery.

Slavery comes in many varieties, e.g. physical, verbal, mental, psychological. Are you loathe to release an abusive ex or family member, destructive habits, negative thinking, self defeating actions, addictions? Whatever binds you can be healed. You can be liberated from any and all iron grips causing you to remain stifled, smothered, strangulated.

Passover and Easter represent freedom. Spring is the perfect opportunity for putting these principles into practice. “To everything there is a season, turn turn turn.” Now is the optimum moment to renew, rejuvenate, refresh, revitalize, reawaken, rekindle, repair.

Contemplate one area you’d like to transform.  It can be as simple as changing your hairstyle or wardrobe, trying a new hobby or pastime, going on a date, making a romantic gesture, enjoying a meal alone at your favorite restaurant; or more challenging visions, such as finding a new vocation, living location, partner, mending a damaged union, quitting smoking, drinking, gambling, overeating/spending/shopping.

You’re already intuitively aware of what is required.  When you tap into the source within, all answers and solutions will be revealed.

Commit to one small step, considering that the scary, difficult, uncomfortable, reluctant undertakings produce the biggest impact and significance. What you fervently object to, is the very thing that needs attention and restoration. A majority of our issues have been screaming to be noticed for ions, although to deaf ears and blind eyes.

Spend this occasion listening to the still small voice that craves your respect, kindness, care sensitivity.  Your precious and valuable defects yearn to be held and nurtured so you can rise above them, experiencing victory and triumph.  Welcome, rather than run from them.  Embrace, instead of ignoring them.

Single in Studio City Slogan: Remember that falling down isn’t a sign of failure.  Success is measured by getting up again, after losing your ground once more.
