set the national record in the 800 meters at last year's state meet, and won her heat in 2:09.87 at the prelims, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The Wolverines senior ran 2:05.55--the third fastest time in the nation this season--at last week's Southern Section Masters Meet. Kody Atkins of Chico was the fastest qualifier at 2:08.54 and Chelsea Kruthers from San Juan Hills was second overall in 2:09.29.
