The Farmers Market will be held from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Thursday, June 21 through Oct. 18, on Church Street between Milwaukee and Brainerd avenues.

Hume said about 30 farmers participate in the market. The full list of this year's participants can be found on the MainStreet Libertyville website.

"It takes up all of Church Street," she said of the size of the market.

Whitey O'Day will also provide musical entertainment at about 9:30. It will probably be too early in the year for tomatoes and sweet corn.

It has been so long since we had a little store; There used to be several in and out on the corner of Winchester & Milwaukee, but I think it is too far north to really get enough traffic... ;(
