Studio City neighborhood Council Public Safety Committee Meeting

Attention Studio City Stakeholders

The Studio City Neighborhood Council Public Safety Committee will be holding it's July meeting this Thursday July 6, 2013 at CBS Radford Studio Center. The Public Safety Committee Meeting will start at 6:30PM and will conclude around about 8:00PM at a special location in the MPR-6 meeting venue on campus.

Studio City, stakeholders will be able to sit in on vital and important issues pertaining to overall public safety in Studio City. This month there will be another strong representation by the Los Angeles Police Department. Valley Traffic Division Officers Steven Rausch, (one of our valley motor officers who appeared last month as a guest speaker) and Troy Williams, the radar/laser coordinator for the Valley Traffic Division. Both patrolmen will speak on certain traffic enforcement efforts and procedures to follow for safe driving in the valley this summer. Officer Williams will present a very entertaining and informative power-point presentation on pedestrian safety for both driver, bike rider and walker. We hope to see our good friend and LAPD SC Senior Lead Officer Mike Lewis, if he has returned from a well deserved vacation. If not we look forward to his visit next month.

For those who are interested the committee will address how the SCNC through it's PS committee can foster a more interactive relationship with our local LAFD Fire Engine #78. The hard working fire fighters will no doubt be very busy this summer and can use our support. Lastly, preparations are being made for the '30th Annual National Night Out'. This year for the first time the event will be held in our own Studio City area. PINZ Family Bowling Center will Co-Host the event with the SCNC. If you own or manage a business in Studio City area or know someone who does, or know of a 'public safety minded' civic group, please contact the public safety committee and let them know you want to participate in this event. it's free. All those who are planning to attend the PS Committee meeting if you have a concern you'd like to bring to the attention of the committee please fill out a speaker card at the start of the meeting. You can also contact the committee chairman by email at: bpender@studiocitync.org
