SO YOU THINK THE VA TAKES CARE OF DISABLED VETS?

OK, now it is time for me to blow my top, pitch a bitch, or just flat ass complain. To start with, I am a Disabled Veteran (Vietnam Era), and have been receiving my meds through the VA, in addition to having one filled directly by the manufacturer at no charge but on a VA prescription with the knowledge of the VA.

For 3 weeks now I have been trying to get my prescriptions filled as well as getting the prescription I need to send to the manufacturer. I have called numerous times, and each time told they would call back and get it taken care of. WELL THAT AIN'T HAPPENING.

Today I flipped my lid and called the VA clinic in Salem and beat them up and was told it would be taken care of immediately and I would have a returned call by 1:30 PM today. NO CALL YET AND IT IS NOW 5:05. At 2:00 PM I called the VA Headquarters pharmacy in Portland and Blew my stack there. They told me nothing could be done until the Salem Clinic filled out the RX and requested it. I was told to call the Salem clinic again. I did and was told and I quote "STOP CALLING, WE CAN'T FILL YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS BECAUSE YOUR DOCTOR RESIGNED 3 WEEKS AGO AND WE HAVE NOT HAD TIME TO ASSIGN A NEW ONE TO YOU".

Well I am out of my MEDS which I told them and they said "SORRY, We can't do anything until you are assigned to one of the other doctors here at the clinic. Then I was told and again I quote "CALL PORTLAND MAYBE THEY CAN DO SOMETHING FOR YOU". 

This last call amounts to the 15th call in 3 weeks, and today is the first time I was told I do not have a PCP assigned because mine resigned from the VA system 3 weeks ago and they have not had time to assign a physician to me. OR EVEN HAVE A DOCTOR LOOK AT MY FILE IN THEIR COMPUTERS AND WRITE A DAMN PRESCRIPTION. 

This Dear people is how THE DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS TAKES CARE OF DISABLED VETS. 

Not it is time to Call my congressman once again and have people fired. As they say on the farm after you have stepped in a cow pie "THIS IS BULL SHIT"
