What a Difference 15 Minutes Can Make!

Our martial arts and fitness center has been around the Los Angeles area for over 20 years.  Always on a quest for a great location, we were first located on Pico Boulevard, then in Beverly Hills and finally landing in West Hollywood near the Sunset Strip. Somehow throughout the years, we never thought to go north and head into the Valley. That is, until now. When we were looking for a second location, everyone suggested Studio City because of its small town feel. We decided to take the advice and found a great location in the Pinz Entertainment Center next to Jerry’s Deli. 

While only a 15 minute drive from our West Hollywood studio, Studio City is worlds apart. Unlike other parts of LA, where businesses and people seem to come and go, Studio City is a real community with roots. I love hearing the stories from Helen, the owner of The Indian Art Center of California (which has been in the area for decades),  and from the patrons of Belwood Bakery who take such pride in their community and its history.  

While we have only been in the area for a short time, the committee for the ‘The Studio City National Night Out’ welcomed us to participate at the Studio City National Night Out on August 6th.  Our young students had such fun showing their martial arts and tumbling techniques! The adult black belt demonstrators, including the always gracious actress Mirelle Enos, had a great time as well showing their skills. We look forward to growing deep roots in Studio City and being part of its landscape for years to come.
