Valley Village Boy Donates his 11th Birthday to Make -A Wish Foundation

You've heard about parties with a purpose? Now there's Pizza with a purpose?
Tyler Ganus wanted to do something a little different for his 11th birthday this year - he spent 2 of his 1st four years in and out of Children's Hospital LA  fighting for his life with a very rare blood disease called Aplastic Anemia (from which he has fully recovered, thank God), and this year, instead of having a big personal party and receiving gifts, he wanted to do something for the kids and their families at CHLA. He was granted a wish from the Make-A-Wish Foundation when he was there, and although he declined to take it, he saw how those wishes impacted the other kids and families so positively.

So young Tyler is planning to have a Make-A-Wish Foundation benefit all day/evening on his Birthday next Tuesday, from 6-9PM June 18th, at Pizza Rev restaurant in Studio City. The restaurant manager has generously agreed to donate 20% of all proceeds from that entire day to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. In lieu of birthday gifts, Tyler wants all his friends to stop by to enjoy the pizza, maybe make an extra donation to MAWF, and join him for a song, a smile and a slice of cake.

Councilman Krikorian has said he will try to stop by, and several people in the entertainment industry will be joining him as well.

Tyler has recovered from his life-threateneing disease to become a straight A student, an elite youth travel baseball player, accomplished musician, singer and dancer, (starring in his school musicals and lending his talent professionally to the entertainment industry) and was President of the Colfax Charter Elementary School Student Council (LOCAL PUBLIC LAUSD SCHOOL) this year. He also recently was chosen to travel to Washington DC to participate in a week-long leadership council with other kids from all across the country. Since leaving the Hospital, Tyler has joined his mother, Ellen Bradley Ganus, in educating others about healthy living.
He's a great kid with a big heart, and a very kind perspective.

Tyler hopes a lot of folks will pass by Pizza Rev on Tuesday, enjoy a personal pizza, and mention Make-A-Wish to assist his efforts. Even better, you are invited to the party at 6PM Please pass the word, and help us get as many people as possible to come out!
