On September 10th, the USC School of Social Work is sponsoring a day of suicide awareness blogging.
As I wrote in a previous post, September 10th is World Suicide Prevention Day, co-sponsored by the World Health Organization and the International Association for Suicide Prevention. This year's theme is "Stigma: A Major Barrier for Suicide Prevention."
In conjunction with World Suicide Prevention Day, USC School of Social Work is inviting bloggers to write a suicide awareness and prevention themed blog post to be shared en masse on September 10th. Anyone who has a blog is invited to participate, regardless of the blog's usual subject matter. Bloggers can address the theme of this year's event or share a personal story about mental health and suicide.
Instructions on how to participate can found on the MSW@USC blog.
