Valley residents interested in learning more about the latest happenings at Van Nuys Airport and other Los Angeles World Airports facilities, and in having their voices heard about current issues, are encouraged to attend the March 5, 2012, Board of Airport Commissioners meeting. It will take place at 1:30 p.m. at the Valley Municipal Building, 14410 Sylvan St., Van Nuys in the Council Chambers (second floor).
The seven-member Board of Airport Commissioners governs Los Angeles World Airports, the City of Los Angeles department that owns and operates a system of three airports: Los Angeles International, LA/Ontario International and Van Nuys. By the Charter of the City of Los Angeles, the Board is responsible for the formulation of airport policy.
