Moving forward, it now gives me great pleasure to announce some changes and appointments to both our Board and our committees:

It is with pleasure that I bring forward as the new Renter representative and to present to our Board at the August Board meeting, Brian Mahoney.

The new Chair of our Budget committee - Board member Denise Welvang.

The new Chair of Bylaws and our Election Representative to DONE for the March, 2014 election of new Board members, Jane Drucker.

These are all very qualified individuals who fully understand the responsibilities and requirements of these positions and will serve our community effectively.

The City has moved up the elections of all Neighborhood Councils to March of 2014

Originally, they would have been held in September of that same year.

If you have an interest or given thought to running and serving our community, please come join us at our regularly scheduled Board meetings on the CBS Studio Center Lot, the 3rd Wednesday of each month, starting at 6:30. We start off with pizza, finger foods and soft drinks, and our meetings start at 7p.m.

We have some very HOT items on our August agenda which will be coming out next week.

Stay involved

Sincerely,

John Walker, President, SCNC
