NoLitterZone.com Becomes a Way to Help Homeless Man Clean Up the Neighborhood

The creative way to help homeless Raul Flores is featured in a Bob Pool column in the Los Angeles Times.

Jackie Hunsicker, who lives in the busy section of Coldwater Canyon Avenue knows how frustrating it is to see trash along the road.

An elegant solution of getting neighbors to help pay $10 a month or so to homeless Raul Flores, just got some press in famed journalist Bob Pool's column.

There's even a website, NoLitterZone.com, that explains the grassroots program, and how people can donate. The trouble is, it has become so successful that people think Raul is a paid city worker.

"Here is my dream," writes Hunsicker on the website. "I want everyone who lives in these hills to become canyon stewards. I want us all to fiercely protect the hills.... I want to change one man's life. Help me. Dream the dream too."
