The Beagles that were rescued from a now-closed research lab in Spain last November have been acclimated and socialized to the point that they can be adopted, according to the rescue team based in Valley Village.
Shannon Keith, the founder of the along with other volunteers (predominantly from Studio City and Valley Village), have worked with the more than three dozen dogs that were going to be euthanized.
There's Muppet, and they say (see photos above):
As you can see, Muppet enjoys reading, sunbathing, as well as his long walks, toys, massages and snuggles on the couch. Muppet came from a laboratory in Spain but is adjusting well to free life! If you are interested in meeting Muppet, email us and fill out a pre-adoption application. Muppet is in Los Angeles, CA, and is seven years young.
And, there is Maynerd:
Beautiful and fun Maynerd came from the same laboratory in Spain as Muppet. Maynerd is 5 years young and loves to play, sun bathe, and especially get belly rubs! Everytime he sees you, he rolls on his back for a special rub. He is full of spirit even though he is still a little shy from being locked in a cage and tested on his whole life. Contact us to meet him! Maynerd is also in Los Angeles, CA.
Some of the available Beagles will be available on Saturday, April 21 at Veteran's Park in Redondo Beach.
